Mete Erker Trio live in the DJS in Dordrecht, the oldest Jazz Club in the Netherlands. Dordrecht is the city I grew up in and although having met years later in Arnhem, Mete and I realized this little club had a key influence on both our creative paths. To him in making music and for me in making still and moving images. But I've always felt attracted to music. When I hear good music, I forget being a filmmaker or photographer. To me, when it really hits me, it feels like being part of a band. In a trance, right in that moment.
Mete Erker on saxophone, Johan Plomp on the double bass and Matti van Engelen playing the drums. Enjoy!
